Welcome Surprise

It's funny how the little things can make you so happy.  Today I finally decided I had the strength to tackle the three sheets of drywall that we currently use to block off the closet in the playroom.  I had stored the baby swing and hammock in there several years ago once Littleman out grew them and decided they were play toys.  What I also discovered in there were two boxes of 0-3 months clothes!  There were many I didn't recognize so I must have gotten them back from my sister, put them in there and then forgot about them.  What was most exciting, I found Littleman's sleeper that says, "My first Christmas".  I can not believe he was still wearing a size 0-3 month when he was 7 months old!  Needless to say Mouse will probably still be swimming in that size in 2 weeks so she will wear her brothers sleeper.  The pictures I have of Littleman in it are with him on his tummy so it won't be much comparison to the pictures I will get of her in it, but it will still be very cute and very nostalgic.

From the depths

It's been a while since I turned my thoughts to visible words.  That tends to happen when your world is turned upside down.  Casey started back to school nearly a year ago.  He's majoring in Environmental Science.  Pretty dang cool!  I love that he wants to help solve some of the issues plaguing our world.  He wants to work with the forest service or Bureau of Land Management.  He's got some pretty interesting ideas for change already.  With him going to school, however, I spend a lot of time helping him with his classes.  He can do the work but has to have an editor.  I don't mind to much except when he demands more of me than I think I should be giving.  I want the thoughts on the paper to be his own and often he gets stumped on how to answer something and wants me to come up with something.  He's gotten better about it fortunatelty but it still eats up a lot of my time.

I found out I was pregnant back in February and yes I am happy say that now over 9 months later I have a beautiful 3 week old daughter.  We named her Crystal Mae-Marie....I call her mouse.  My little mouse is a squeaker, but she is also very boisterous.  She's a joy and littleman is loving the fact he is a big brother.  He kisses on her, wants to hold her, and help out with diaper changes.  He often brings me a diaper, a small toy or some other item he thinks she needs.  He can be a little rough so I have to watch him when she is lying down for a nap or in the bouncer as he wants to pick her up and bring her to me the minute she squeaks.  It's cute but I think I got several grey hairs the first time he did it.

I've been off work since April and am happy to report I go back to work in January.  It will be with the same tax firm as earlier this year, seasonal tax work seems to  be the only thing I can get right now.  I tried all year long to get a job and nothing....I gave up trying around the first of October as my due date came closer...just didn't seem right to get a job then if I was only going to be able to work 6 weeks then need 6 weeks off.  I'm happy to have a job that I can go back to though.  I love working with the ladies at Silverbridge and this year I get to go back as a full tax preparer rather than a clerk.  It's what I have been doing for 5 years now and though I liked working as a clerk, I a excited to be crunching numbers again.

That's a little update on the family.  Have to get back to paying attention to the children and the dog who insists on going outside every half hour.
