Oh and yea there will be some updates on this blog as well, school is almost over so I hope to start having the time to take  pictures, especially with all this nice weather we are having.

Been slacking

Like it isn't unusual for me, but I have been slacking in the updating department again. My camera is loaded with a ton of photos but I have yet to upload them to my computer. I finally cleared of my video camera. Its my goal to catch little man doing something cute to show off. Funny thing is that the little ham see's a camera and he instantly is drawn to it....I mean he wants it. I get pictures of him reaching for it and then screaming because I won't let him have it. I have to catch him when he isn't looking.

It's been a long week, I can't believe it is only Wednesday.

Lets see, how about a list of words littleman has been saying, books say he should have like a 30 word vocabulary, he probably does however my mind beseeches me now, I will add words as he says them:

Kitty
Dog
Woof (actually he barks, more like a little dog yap)
Daddy
Grandpa
Momma
Banana

Upate (3/26/09)
Stinky
Bang
Uh Oh
Oh No
Woot
Whoo Hoo
Nite Nite
Bye
Hi

That's not where that goes

So last night we (hubby and I) where sitting watching TV and littleman is wondering around the livingroom getting into everything.  This kid knows what "no" means, he uses it on us, but yet he still climbs on the tables and picks on the dogs and cats.  Well he finally got bored and wanted in his highchair.  He got distracted when he found his bib tucked up behind it.  Next they I know he's trying to put it on....his butt.  Well not really his butt, the bib isn't that big, but he was trying to put in on like a diaper.  I swear he did this for 10 minutes.  It was so funny and he kept giving me puzzled looks when I told him "No, that's not where that goes".

Later he decided he wanted to play with his blocks.  He carried the entire bag out of the playroom and sat down and started pulling them out.  He tossed a few and after being told not to throw (yet again) he picks the bag up and moves into the wicker dog bed.  It sits right next to a book shelf so I watched as he took blocks out of the bag and placed them on the shelves.  He did this for awhile, quietly, not even paying attention to us....he's getting to be so independent.

Bicycle Cronicles

Saturday, January 10, 2009

Casey and I had decided to re-arrange the computer room so that George would have more room to play when we were both up there.  The final result was great and we paused to check out something on the computer.  The whole time George had been playing quietly with the toys we had brought up.  Next thing we know we hear a thump.  Thump, thumpity, thump, thump and a crash.  George had fallen down the stairs! He’d been doing so well going up and down them I didn’t even think to shut the computer room door.   We rush down to his side and he is standing up, crying and reaching to be held.  By his side is his little red tricycle.  At first we thought he had tried to ride it down the stairs or perhaps past the stairs to try and get it to his bedroom, but later figured out he may have been trying to carry it downstairs.   I held him close until he wanted down.  He seemed to be alright.  As I put him down he was still crying.  I watched as he walked back to the stairway and lifted his bike to its wheels.  He then got on it and proceeded to scoot it into the dining room.  He’s still crying and when he gets it to the dining room he lifts his arms to be held again.  He cried a little while longer, perhaps his pride hurt more than anything else.

Soon he is over the ordeal and wants to go back up stairs.  He and I walk about 8 steps before he says, “Uh-Oh”, spins around and heads back down the stairs.  Confused I followed suit.  He goes back to the dining room and starts trying to lift and carry his bike.  Smiling I pick it up for him and he smiles in return as he heads back for the stairs.  We get all the way to the top and back into the computer room.  He reaches for the bike and I put it down for him as I turn back to make sure the door is securely latched.  He gets on his little red trike and just smiles.

Sunday at our regular dinner at the in-laws I am playing with him and see the slightest bruising on his chin...his only injury from the fall.
